We're thrilled to announce that the first Daytona Launch Week in 2025 is coming next week, starting Monday, April 28th.

Over five consecutive days, we'll be making major announcements that represent a significant evolution in our vision and product. This won't be just another feature release, we're unveiling a fundamental shift in how we think about infrastructure for the AI era, following our strategic shift from dev environments to AI runtimes.

TL;DR
  • Daytona is shifting to focus exclusively on AI agent infrastructure and runtimes

  • Five days of announcements covering new platform foundations, SDKs, collaboration tools, global infrastructure, and agent orchestration

  • These changes address critical gaps in the AI ecosystem that traditional infrastructure approaches cannot solve

What to Expect

Each day of Launch Week will focus on a different aspect of our vision, with in-depth blog posts, demos, and resources. While we're keeping the specific details under wraps until next week, here's a glimpse of what's coming:

Monday: The Foundation

We'll kick things off with our biggest announcement – a significant advancement in our AI infrastructure platform that addresses a critical gap in the AI ecosystem. This foundational shift builds on our core thesis that traditional infrastructure approaches are inadequate for the demands of modern AI workloads, particularly for AI agents that require dedicated runtimes with dynamic lifecycles.

Tuesday: Agent Experience

Day two will focus on how we’re empowering AI agents. While building Daytona, we treated the agent as the primary user - a mindset that shaped our product decisions.

Wednesday: Human and AI Collaboration

On day three, we'll explore how humans and AI can work together effectively, with new tools designed specifically for oversight, debugging, and interaction in complex AI workflows.

Thursday: Multi-Region Launch

Day four brings announcements about how we're expanding our global reach by launching multiple regions, bringing powerful AI runtime capabilities closer to users around the world.

Friday: Model Context Protocol (MCP)

We'll wrap up with a forward-looking vision of advanced agent orchestration capabilities that will define the next generation of AI systems, enabling agent-to-agent communication and complex workflows.

Why This Matters

Recent developments from OpenAI, Anthropic, and others have validated our core thesis: traditional infrastructure approaches are inadequate for the demands of modern AI workloads.

As we highlighted in our recent article, AI agents aren't just models and prompts; they require a dedicated runtime with a dynamic lifecycle to function effectively. Our Launch Week announcements represent our response to this challenge – purpose-built solutions designed from first principles to address the unique requirements of the AI era.
