If you've been in San Francisco recently, you may have noticed Daytona’s catchphrase—“Run AI Code”—on billboards, shirts, and laptops. It's a simple phrase, but it’s resonating with a growing group of developers working on the next wave of AI tooling.

AI Builders Meetups in SF
After a year of Developer Club meetups across Europe, Asia, and Africa, we’ve kicked off an AI Builders monthly series in San Francisco. These gatherings are for people building agents, not just talking about them. The focus is on sharing ideas, testing prototypes, learning about new agent tools, and meeting others facing similar problems. We're just warming up.
The response so far? Epic. Turns out there’s a real need for offline spaces where the future of AI agents is being shaped.

Building an AI Agent Community in SF
We kicked off our first AI Builders meetup on February 10 at the House of AI with a full room of 50 attendees. One of the key moments came from Matt Biilmann Christensen, CEO of Netlify, who coined the term Agent Experience (AX), arguing that while agents are starting to reshape how we build software, our infrastructure hasn’t caught up. If we want agents to thrive, AX needs to become a first-class concern.

Our second event raised the bar on March 19 at GitHub’s San Francisco office. We hit the venue’s 150-person capacity, with even more people registered than we could fit, unfortunately leaving over 50 on the waitlist. Paul Klein IV, founder of Browserbase, delivered a talk on building reliable web agents in production, while Kilian Lieret, Ph.D. from Princeton University, discussed engineering AI agents for software engineering. The event concluded with great networking, where attendees exchanged ideas and contacts.
What’s Next
We're just getting started on this journey. The next AI Builders meetup is on April 9 at the House of AI. If you’re in SF and working on agents—or curious about the space—we’d love to see you there.
