Microsoft Joins Our Identity Provider Family

It's time for our weekly enterprise product update. While this week might seem a bit quieter on the surface, don't let that fool you - we've been busy behind the scenes, laying the groundwork for some major enhancements coming your way.

What's New This Week

Microsoft Joins Our Identity Provider Family

We're thrilled to announce that Microsoft has joined our roster of supported identity providers. This addition builds on our recently launched management panel for identity providers in the admin dashboard. Now, our enterprise customers can seamlessly integrate Microsoft into their Daytona setup. And just like our other providers, you have the flexibility to configure it in an account-linking-only mode if that better suits your needs.

Workspace Cards Get a Git Context Boost

We've added a neat little feature to our workspace cards. Now, if a workspace springs from a Pull Request (PR), you'll see a handy label with the PR number right there on the card. It's a small touch, but one that adds some useful context at a glance. And don't worry about clutter - if you switch to a different branch in the workspace, we'll automatically remove the label since it's no longer relevant.

Coming Attractions: The Big Stuff We're Working On

Now, let us give you a sneak peek at some of the larger updates we're cooking up:

  1. Audit Logging: We're aiming to roll this out next week, giving admins the power to keep a watchful eye on all the activity in their Daytona installation. It's all about enhancing security and giving you more control.

  2. Role-Based Access Control with Groups: We're introducing a new concept of groups to give you more granular control over access. Soon, admins will be able to create user groups, assign specific roles to these groups, and then populate them with users. It's going to make managing permissions a whole lot easier.

  3. Quotas: The New Team Subscriptions: We're revamping our approach to team resources. Instead of the current subscription model, we're moving to a quota system. This will allow for more precise control over resource limits for users within a team. We believe this shift will better align with what our enterprise customers need and expect.

These upcoming features represent some significant leaps forward for our platform. While they're taking a bit more time to develop, we're confident they'll be worth the wait.

Wrapping Up

So there you have it - a couple of neat new features this week, and some major enhancements on the horizon.

As always, we're incredibly grateful for your patience and support as we continue to evolve and improve Daytona. Your feedback and input are invaluable in shaping our product roadmap.

Stay tuned for next week's update - We have a feeling it's going to be a big one! Until then, happy coding, and thanks for being part of the Daytona community.
